The US Department of the Interior proposes to withdraw approximately 507 acres of reserved Federal minerals and 332,421 acres of Federal lands from the United States mining laws for a period of 5 years, in order to protect the lands and preserve the status quo pending the processing of an application for military purposes under the Engle Act.
