NHTSA Implements Whistleblower Provisions of Vehicle Safety Act

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has finalized a rule implementing the whistleblower provisions of the Vehicle Safety Act, which authorizes the agency to pay awards to whistleblowers who provide original information about motor vehicle defects or noncompliance, potentially leading to safer vehicles.
