NMFS Closes Closed Area I Scallop Access Area to General Category Individual Fishing Quota Vessels

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has closed the Closed Area I Scallop Access Area to Limited Access General Category Individual Fishing Quota scallop vessels until the end of the 2021 fishing year, in an effort to prevent overfishing and adhere to the Atlantic Sea Scallop Fishery Management Plan.
