NMFS Prohibits Directed Fishing for Pacific Cod in Bering Sea Subarea

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod, except for the Community Development Quota (CDQ) program, in the Bering Sea subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area to prevent exceeding the 2021 total allowable catch (TAC) for Pacific cod in the subarea.
