NHTSA Proposes Rules to Implement Whistleblower Provisions of the Vehicle Safety Act

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking public comment on proposed rules to implement the Whistleblower Act, which authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to pay awards to whistleblowers who provide original information on motor vehicle defects or noncompliance, potentially leading to serious injury or death.
