The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the establishment of the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children (ACHDNC) as a discretionary advisory committee, in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and section 1111 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act.
