NHTSA Amends Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Container Integrity Standard

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has finalized a rule to modify the inspection interval for compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel containers on heavy vehicles, reducing the requirement from every 36 months or 36,000 miles to every 12 months, aiming to eliminate unnecessary inspections for commercial operators.
