Daimler Vans USA, LLC Denies Petition for Inconsequential Noncompliance with FMVSS 110
Daimler Vans USA, LLC, on behalf of Daimler AG, has denied its petition to the NHTSA, stating that certain model year 2016-2018 Mercedes-Benz Metris vans do not fully comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, due to non-compliance with the load carrying capacity information for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 pounds or less.
