NHTSA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for New Fuel Efficiency Standards
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) plans to analyze the potential environmental impacts of new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for passenger cars and light trucks, as well as fuel efficiency standards for heavy-duty pickup trucks and vans, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
