NCUA to Hold Public Hearing on Dade County Federal Credit Union's Community Charter Expansion Request

The NCUA will hold a public hearing on a request from Dade County Federal Credit Union to expand its community charter to an area with a population of 2.5 million or more, which the American Community Survey estimates to be around 4.6 million people, following a submission on November 8, 2022. The agency is seeking comments on whether the proposed area meets the criteria for a well-defined local community as outlined in its Chartering and Field of Membership Manual.
