NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher vessels greater than or equal to 60 feet in length using pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area to prevent exceeding the 2019 total allowable catch.
