NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing by Small Vessels in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has banned catcher vessels under 50 feet in length from using hook-and-line gear to catch Pacific cod in the Gulf of Alaska, in order to prevent exceeding the 2019 total allowable catch limit for these vessels.
