The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NH DES) to implement and enforce the amended Asbestos Management and Control Rule, which applies to certain asbestos-related activities, replacing the National Emission Standard for Asbestos (Asbestos NESHAP) for inactive waste disposal sites that ceased operation before July 9, 1981.
