NHTSA Proposes Updates to Child Restraint Systems for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing to update the child restraint systems (CRSs) listed in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, 'Occupant crash protection,' to better reflect current market offerings and make it easier for manufacturers to test these systems. This update aims to improve the performance of advanced air bag suppression and deployment systems in the presence of CRSs.
