U.S. Maritime Administration Amends Regulations for Large Fishing Industry Vessels

Summary

The Maritime Administration is updating its rules for documenting fishing vessels over 100 feet in length, relaxing some restrictions and eliminating others, in response to changes made by the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2010 and the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2012.
