NHTSA Announces 2017 Light Duty Truck Listings Subject to Theft Prevention Standard

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published its final rule for the 2017 model year, updating the listings of light duty truck lines subject to the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard and exempted vehicle lines. The rule removes vehicle lines that have been discontinued for more than 5 years and identifies exempted lines that are not subject to parts marking requirements.
