USDA Designates Agencies for Official Grain Inspection Services
Summary
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has designated Aberdeen Grain Inspection, Inc. (Aberdeen), Hastings Grain Inspection, Inc. (Hastings), and the Missouri Department of Agriculture (Missouri) to provide official grain inspection services under the United States Grain Standards Act (USGSA), following the realignment of offices authorized by the Secretary's Memorandum dated November 14, 2017. This change eliminates the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyard Administration (GIPSA) as a standalone agency, with grain inspection activities now organized under the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS).
