NOAA Seeks Comments on Marine Geophysical Survey Proposal in Eastern Mediterranean Sea

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking public comments on a proposal by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (Lamont-Doherty) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to conduct a marine geophysical survey in the eastern Mediterranean Sea from mid-November 2015 through December 31, 2015. The survey may incidentally harm up to 26 species of marine mammals, including four that could suffer permanent hearing loss.
