U.S. Air Force Seeks Authorization to Take Marine Mammals During Maritime Weapon Systems Evaluation Program

The U.S. Department of the Air Force has requested an Incidental Harassment Authorization from the National Marine Fisheries Service to take two species of marine mammals, the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin and Atlantic spotted dolphin, during a maritime weapon systems evaluation program at the Eglin Gulf Test and Training Range in the northern Gulf of Mexico.
