NHTSA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for New Fuel Economy Standards
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is required to analyze the potential environmental impacts of new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for passenger cars and light trucks, as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, and invites public comments on the scoping process.
