FCA US LLC Receives NHTSA Decision on Noncompliance with FMVSS No. 209

FCA US LLC has determined that certain Mopar Service seat belt assemblies sold to FCA dealers as replacement equipment in model year 1992-2018 vehicles do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209. FCA US filed a noncompliance report on July 25, 2017, and petitioned NHTSA on August 17, 2017, for a decision that the noncompliance is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety.
