NMFS Issues Incidental Harassment Authorization for Marine Geophysical Survey in ETP

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has granted Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), a research arm of the University of California, permission to disturb small numbers of marine mammals during a geophysical survey in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean from October to November 2010, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) regulations.
