NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 2009 Ford F-150 Trucks

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has made a decision to permit the importation of model year 2009 Ford F-150 trucks that do not meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, as they are substantially similar to U.S.-certified vehicles and can be modified to comply with safety regulations.
