National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Allows Importation of Nonconforming 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLK Class Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has made a decision allowing model year 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLK Class passenger cars that do not meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to be imported into the US, as they are substantially similar to US-certified vehicles and can be modified to comply with safety standards.
