NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2012 Jeep Wrangler Vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition to allow the importation of model year 2012 Jeep Wrangler vehicles manufactured for the Mexican market, as they are substantially similar to U.S.-certified versions and can be easily modified to meet safety standards.
