NHTSA and FMCSA Announce Availability of Draft Environmental Assessment for Speed Limiting Device Regulations

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) have released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) evaluating the potential environmental impacts of proposed regulations requiring speed limiting devices in new heavy vehicles and maximum speed settings for motor carriers. The public is invited to comment on the Draft EA.
