SpaceX Granted Waiver to Reduce Launch Risk

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved a petition from SpaceX to lower the acceptable risk limit for launch, from an average of 0.00003 casualties to 0.0001, in an effort to minimize the risk to the public from launch vehicle blast overpressure.
