Boeing Issues Airworthiness Directive for 757 Airplanes

The Boeing Company is issuing an airworthiness directive for its Model 757 airplanes, prompted by a report of a broken forward support fitting at the inboard track of the inboard flap. The directive requires repetitive inspections and corrective actions to prevent cracking of the forward support fitting assembly, which could lead to loss of inboard flap control and subsequent loss of airplane control.
