NHTSA Publishes Final Theft Data for 2011 Passenger Motor Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released the final data on motor vehicle thefts for model year 2011, showing a 15.38% decrease in the vehicle theft rate compared to the previous year, with a theft rate of 0.99 thefts per thousand vehicles in 2011.
