NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Harley-Davidson to allow the importation of 2011-2014 FX, FL, XL, and VR motorcycles that do not meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, as they are substantially similar to US-certified vehicles and can be easily modified to comply with safety regulations.
