NHTSA Issues Request for Information on ICD-10-CM/AIS Mapping Software

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking public feedback on a potential mapping software that translates ICD-10-CM discharge diagnoses into Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) pre-dot codes, injury descriptors, and severity scores, in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
