NHTSA Issues Final Rule on Vehicle Modifications for People with Disabilities

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a final rule amending regulations to include a new exemption for physically disabled drivers and passengers, allowing for vehicle modifications to accommodate their needs. The exemptions also address ejection mitigation and lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.
