NMFS Proposes Regulations to Manage Bluefin Tuna in the Atlantic

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) proposes new regulations to manage bluefin tuna sustainably in the Atlantic, building on the 2006 Consolidated Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan. The proposed measures include reallocating U.S. bluefin tuna quotas among domestic fishing categories and implementing new gear restrictions and catch limits for the pelagic longline fishery.
