Ford Motor Company Granted Exemption for Edge Vehicle Line
The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Ford Motor Company's petition to exempt the Edge vehicle line from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard, citing that the proposed antitheft device is likely to be as effective as the standard parts-marking requirements. The agency will address Ford's request for confidential treatment in a separate letter.
