Information Required in Prior Notice of Imported Food

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a final rule that adopts, without change, the interim final rule (IFR) entitled "Information Required in Prior Notice of Imported Food" that published in the Federal Register (76 FR 25542; May 5, 2011) (2011 IFR). This final rule adopts the IFR's requirement of an additional element of information in a prior notice of imported food, specifically that a person submitting prior notice of imported food, including food for animals, must report the name of any country to which the article has been refused entry.

Proposed Data Collection Submitted for Public Comment and Recommendations

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as part of its continuing effort to reduce public burden and maximize the utility of government information, invites the general public and other federal agencies the opportunity to comment on a proposed information collection, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This notice invites comment on a proposed information collection project titled Public Health Crisis Response (PHCR) Cooperative Agreement. The Public Health Crisis Response (PHCR) Cooperative Agreement provides rapid funding to help existing public health programs respond to major public health emergencies and crises.
