FDA Announces Grant Funds for University of North Carolina to Study Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia

The FDA is providing grant funds to the University of North Carolina to investigate the components of heparin mixtures that may cause heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), with the goal of improving the safety of heparin drug products.
