Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Rule: Standards for Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption; Extension of Comment Period

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is extending the comment period for the "Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Rule: Standards for Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption" that appeared in the Federal Register of August 19, 2013. We are taking this action to allow interested persons an opportunity to provide comment on the scope of issues the Agency should include in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), including their significance, as part of the scoping process for the EIS.
