Mitsubishi Motors Granted Exemption for Anti-Theft Device in i-MiEV Vehicle Line

The US Department of Transportation has granted Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America, Inc. an exemption from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for its Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric vehicle line, citing that the proposed anti-theft device is likely to be as effective as required parts-marking under the Federal Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard.
