NHTSA Proposes Extension of Air Bag Retrofit Regulation

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing to extend the availability of a regulation allowing motor vehicle dealers and repair businesses to install retrofit on-off switches for air bags in vehicles manufactured before September 1, 2015, three years beyond its current expiration date of September 1, 2012.
