The U.S. Department of Labor has released final regulations to help plan sponsors determine the value of plan assets and benefit liabilities, as well as implement benefit restrictions for underfunded pension plans, in compliance with the Pension Protection Act of 2006 and the Worker, Retiree, and Employer Recovery Act of 2008.
