HUD Extends Disaster Recovery Guidance for Hurricane-Affected Areas

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued a notice to update its implementation guidance for Section 901 of the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2006, to include calendar years 2008 and 2009 program funds, allowing public housing agencies to combine Housing Choice Voucher and public housing operating and capital funds to assist families displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
