The U.S. government has modified gear requirements for the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan to prevent overfishing of Georges Bank yellowtail flounder while allowing access to Eastern GB cod and haddock stocks, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Act and Amendment 13 regulations.
