NMFS Announces Availability of Amendments to Spiny Lobster Fishery Management Plans
Summary
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has made available two amendments to the Spiny Lobster Fishery Management Plans for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic, aimed at establishing minimum conservation standards for imported spiny lobster, with the goal of reducing the foreign harvest of undersized animals and increasing the long-term potential yield of the pan-Caribbean spiny lobster fishery.
