The Bureau of Reclamation and the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency will jointly prepare an Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report to assess the proposed modification of the Mormon Island Auxiliary Dam, aimed at reducing seismic and static risks of dam failure and ensuring dam safety standards, thereby protecting people living and working downstream of the Folsom Dam complex.
