U.S. Increases Landing Limit for Eastern Georges Bank Cod

Summary

The Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act authorizes the increase of the daily-at-sea limit for Eastern Georges Bank cod to 1,000 pounds per day, or up to 10,000 pounds per trip, in the U.S./Canada Management Area to help meet the total allowable catch target for the 2008 fishing year.
