Department of Education Renames and Consolidates Personnel Security Systems in Compliance with Privacy Act

Summary

The Department of Education is renaming and consolidating two systems of records, including the Investigatory Material Compiled for Personnel Security, Suitability, Positive Identification Verification and Access Control for the Department of Education Security Tracking and Reporting System (EDSTAR), in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, to align with the requirements of Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12.
