The National Safe Routes to School Task Force is holding its fifth meeting with the Secretary of Transportation, where it will discuss strategies to promote Safe Routes to School programs nationwide and encourage children to walk and bike to school, in line with the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) of 2005.
