NHTSA Proposes Extension of Antilock Brake System Indicator Lamp Requirement

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing to extend the requirement for trailers with antilock brake systems to have an external antilock malfunction indicator lamp by 18 months, until March 1, 2011, in response to a petition from the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA).
