NHTSA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for New Fuel Economy Standards

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) plans to analyze the potential environmental impacts of new fuel economy standards for passenger cars and light trucks, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and invites public comments to help identify environmental issues and alternatives.
