NHTSA Republishes Privacy Act System of Records Notice for CARS Program Database
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is updating its system of records notice for the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save (CARS) program database to expand the sharing of complaint records with state attorneys general and the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) to investigate and prosecute criminal violations, including those related to the CARS program.
